Lufenuron is most commonly known for its use in the flea control medication Program®. But make no mistake; Lufenuron is not just for controlling fleas on dogs and cats. Its "off-label" use as a safe and effective treatment for candidiasis has propelled it to fame in Europe, and its popularity in the USA is growing rapidly. Click here to view a study involving chimpanzees who were given Lufenuron to successfully treat their systemic candidiasis infections. Or, click here to view the details of the United States patent that Lufenuron received establishing it as a powerful eliminator of the Candida albicans fungus in both humans and animals. We're sure you still have lots of questions, and we hope that the following frequently asked questions will answer some of them for you.
Question: How often should I take Lufenuron?
Answer: For treating candidiasis, Lufenuron should be taken once daily for five days. For proper absorption it needs to be taken with a fatty food - we recommend that you mix one-half teaspoon of Lufenuron powder into a full-fat yogurt and eat it along with a meal that is also high in fat. Lufenuron is stored in body fat, and is slowly released into the bloodstream for a period of three weeks.
Question: Why has my doctor never heard of Lufenuron?
Answer: Because Novartis (the manufacturer of Lufenuron) chose to market Lufenuron as a flea control product (Program®) rather than as a treatment for candidiasis. This is not because Lufenuron isn't the safest, most effective treatment for candidiasis available. It is because there is much more profit to be made in flea control medications than in treatments for candidiasis.
Question: I get recurrent vaginal yeast infections, and have tried every home remedy on the market, but they keep coming back. Do you think Lufenuron would help?
Answer: Definitely. Lufenuron is not only capable of clearing up a localized fungal infection, such as skin rashes or a yeast infection, it can also prevent future breakouts by treating the underlying cause, which is an overgrowth of the fungus Candida albicans in your digestive tract (a condition known as candidiasis.)
Question: What does the manufacturer of Lufenuron (Novartis) say about its safety?
Answer: "Program® (Lufenuron) has undergone numerous safety trials to test its margin of safety at various doses. In addition, it has been available worldwide in over 30 countries with no adverse reactions found. The reason that Program® (Lufenuron) is so safe is that it is biologically inert in mammals - meaning it is not broken down by the liver or kidneys. As such it is safe in all mammals. Program® (Lufenuron) has been tested at hundreds of times the label dose with absolutely no difficulties of any kind. Program® (Lufenuron) exhibits no drug interactions, therefore it has no ill effect on older subjects, or subjects with liver or renal problems, regardless of any medications those subjects may be on for their medical conditions. It does not affect diabetics or subjects on antibiotics. There is no bio-accumulation so there is no chance of Program® (Lufenuron) building up and causing a problem in the long term. It is standard practice for all drugs to be tested for an 'LD50.' This is the recognized dose where the drug turns toxic in 50% of laboratory rats. It was not possible to establish an 'LD50' for Lufenuron. Lufenuron was found to be completely non-toxic at all dosages and levels of administration."
